Notice of Provisional Appointmentto theBrea Olinda Unified School District Governing BoardPursuant to Education Code Section 5092 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a vacancy, for Trustee Area 4 occurred on the Board of Trustees of the Brea Olinda Unified School District as a result of the Board of Trustees of Brea Olinda Unified School District resolution to declare seat of Board Member Chris Becerra vacant pursuant to Education Code Section 5090, Resolution #26-04 approved and adopted on March 5, 2026. On April 20, 2026, the Board of Trustees provisionally appointed Natalie Johnson to fill this vacancy. The appointment confers all powers and duties of a governing board member. The registered voters of the district may, within 30 days from the date of the provisional appointment, petition for the conduct of a special election to fill the vacancy. Unless a petition calling for a special election and containing a sufficient number of signatures is filed in the office of the Orange County Superintendent of Schools, 200 Kalmus Drive, Costa Mesa, California, not later than May 20, 2026, the provisional appointment shall become an effective appointment.
