NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE ORANGE COUNTY MOSQUITO
AND VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT
VECTOR SURVEILLANCE AND CONTROL
ASSESSMENT
AND FOR
THE MOSQUITO, FIRE ANT AND DISEASE
CONTROL ASSESSMENT
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of
Trustees of the Orange County Mosquito
and Vector Control District intends to
conduct public hearings for the
CONTINUATION of two benefit assessments
in fiscal year 2025-26 that fund the District's
mosquito, fire ant, vector control and
disease prevention services and projects in
Orange County. The public hearings to
consider the ordering of services and
projects and the levy of assessments for
fiscal year 2026-27, for the vector
surveillance and control assessment, and for
the mosquito, fire ant and disease control
assessment, shall be held on Thursday, May
21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at 13001 Garden Grove
Blvd., Garden Grove. The proposed
assessment rate for the vector surveillance
and control assessment is $1.92 per benefit
unit for fiscal year 26-27. The proposed
assessment rate for the mosquito, fire ant
and disease control assessment is $9.34 per
single-family equivalent benefit unit for
fiscal year 26-27. Members of the public are
invited to provide comment at the public
hearings, or, in writing, which is received by
the District on or before Thursday, May 21,
