CITY OF INDIO NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Indio, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The public hearing will be held in person at 150 Civic Center Drive, Indio, CA 92201, to consider the following: Public Hearing Item: Planning Commission recommendations for the City Council to adopt three ordinances amending the Indio Unified Development Code (PLAN-ZMA-25-0003), consisting of: (1) an ordinance repealing and replacing article 5 (subdivision regulations and residential condominium conversions); (2) an ordinance repealing and replacing article 6 (administration and procedures); and (3) an ordinance adding chapter 4.28 (two-unit developments. California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: The City of Indio, as Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), determined the project is categorically exempt based on CEQA guidelines section 15061(b)(3) (general rule exemption). City Council meetings may be viewed via Livestream, Facebook Live, or YouTube. Please note: In the case of technical difficulties with the livestream or broadcast, the meeting will proceed as scheduled, provided the physical meeting location remains open and accessible to the public. Interested persons wishing to express their views on the hearing item(s) referenced above may participate by providing oral or written comments as follows: Written Comments : Written comments may be emailed to the City Clerk at cityclerk@indio.org. Comments will be distributed to the Planning Commission and posted on the agenda portal. Written comments will not be read during public comment. Oral Comments : Oral testimony can be provided in person by submitting a comment card to the City Clerk.
