PUBLIC NOTICEThe Irvine Unified School District (District) has reviewed the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) across elementary and K-8 schools and has determined that Portola Springs Elementary School requires a relocatable classroom building to house current and future students in the program. As a result, the District anticipates placing a relocatable classroom building at Portola Springs Elementary School in the winter of 2026.
In compliance with the District’s Board of Education Policy and Administrative Regulation – 7110.1 on the placement of structures on existing school sites, we are notifying you of the District’s intent to expand the existing facility at Portola Springs Elementary School.
All interested persons are invited to participate in the Public Information Meeting, which will provide information on the proposed project. District representatives will be available to answer questions. This meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
