CITY OF LA PALMANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of La Palma City Council will conduct a Public Hearing at a regular meeting to be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:30 P.M., on the following matter:
Consideration of the City’s proposed 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (“UWMP”), 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan (“WSCP”), in advance of their proposed adoption.
The Public Hearing is being held in accordance with the Urban Water Management Planning Act (California Water Code Sections 10610 through 10656; herein referred to as the “Act”). The Act requires “every urban water supplier providing water for municipal purposes to more than 3,000 customers or supplying more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually” to prepare, adopt, and file a UWMP with the California Department of Water Resources and review and update its UWMP every five years. The purpose of the public hearing will be to solicit public comment prior to adoption of the proposed updated UWMP and WSCP.
Any person interested in this matter may appear at the public hearing in person or by agent and be heard, or submit written correspondence delivered to the City Council prior to, or at, the public hearing. A copy of the City’s draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan is on file at La Palma City Hall, 7822 Walker Street, La Palma, California 90623, and is available for public inspection and review at this address. All agenda materials will be available for review 72 hours in advance of the scheduled hearing at La Palma City Hall and on the City’s website at www.lapalmaca.gov.
