NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT THE PROPOSED 2026-2027 FISCAL YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM CONFORMS WITH THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65401.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Lakewood Planning and Environment Commission concerning the adoption of a resolution finding that the proposed fiscal year 2026-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) conforms with the City’s General Plan. The City of Lakewood CIP identifies capital improvement projects to be undertaken over a seven-year span and indicates the estimated project costs and potential funding sources for those projects. The draft CIP is scheduled for City Council adoption on June 9, 2026. In accordance with California Government Code § 65401, proposed projects in the CIP must be found to be consistent with the City’s General Plan before they may be approved. This action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3) since it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that said public hearing will be held on THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., in the Lakewood City Council Chambers, 5000 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, California. All persons interested may appear at that time and testify in this matter. The proposed ordinance and related displays thereof may be inspected by the public prior to the hearing at the office of the Community Development Department of Lakewood City Hall, 5050 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, California.
