NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN BY PICO WATER DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors (Board) of the Pico Water District (District) will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Pico Water District Boardroom located at 4843 Church Street, Pico Rivera, CA 90660 for the purpose of adopting its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and its Water Shortage Contingency Plan.
The 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan were prepared pursuant to the "Urban Water Management Planning Act" and the California Water Code. The California Department of Water Resources requires every urban water supplier who either serves more than 3,000 customers (individually metered accounts) and/or supplies more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually for municipal purposes to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan, including a Water Shortage Contingency Plan, and periodically update the Urban Water Management Plan at leastonce every five years, in years ending in six and one.
Pico Water District invites all interested entities to provide their comments. A copy of the draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan will be available at the District 's website.
