SOQUEL CREEK WATER DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO PROVIDE COMMENTS ON THE SOQUEL CREEK WATER DISTRICT DRAFT 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN (UWMP) AND WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN (WSCP), AND OF AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT 2025 UWMP AND WSCP FOR PUBLIC REVIEW Date & Time: Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM Location: Capitola City Council Chambers 420 Capitola Avenue, Capitola NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 2, 2026, the Board of Directors of the Soquel Creek Water District ("District") will hold a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the City of Capitola council chambers. The Board will hold the public hearing to receive public comments on the Draft 2025 UWMP (including the WSCP) prior to considering adoption of both at the June 2, 2026 Board meeting. The Draft 2025 UWMP is a long-range planning document that assesses current water demand, projects future demand over a minimum 20-year planning horizon and identifies the water resources to meet future demand. The Draft 2025 UWMP also includes the Draft 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan which identifies water shortage stages and associated curtailment actions to allow for efficient management of any water shortage with predictability and accountability. While the WSCP is a component of the 2025 UWMP, it is viewed as a stand-alone document and must be adopted separately. A copy of the Draft 2025 UWMP, including the WSCP, will be available for public review on the District's website at www.soquelcreekwater.org. It can also be viewed at the District's office at 5180 Soquel Drive, Soquel, CA during regular business hours.
