UNITED STATES OF AMERICAFEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION PacifiCorpProject No. 2082-074 NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (April 15, 2026) In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (Commission or FERC) regulations, 18 C.F.R. Part 380, Commission staff reviewed PacifiCorp’s non-capacity amendment application for Klamath Hydroelectric Project No. 2082 and have prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the project. [1] The licensee proposes to decommission and administratively remove the Fall Creek development from the project license to facilitate conveyance of the decommissioned infrastructure and lands to the City of Yreka, California. The project is located on the Klamath River and Fall Creek in Klamath County, Oregon and Siskiyou County, California. The project occupies federal lands managed by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation. The EA contains Commission staff’s analysis of the potential environmental effects of the proposed amendment, alternatives to the proposed action, and concludes that the proposed administrative removal of the Fall Creek development from the project license would not constitute a major federal action that would significantly affect the quality of the human environment. The EA may be viewed on the Commission’s website at http://www.ferc.gov using the “eLibrary” link. Enter the docket number (P-2082) in the docket number field to access the document.
