NOTICE OF GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION FOR THE ELECTION OF FOUR DIRECTORS FOR THE SCOTT VALLEY AND SHASTA VALLEY WATERMASTER DISTRICTNOTICE is hereby given that the Scott Valley and Shasta Valley Watermaster District will conduct a general district election on August 18, 2026 for the purpose of electing four offices of Director. A person may only declare candidacy for one office. The offices for which a candidate may file are as follows:OFFICE - TERMDirector(Shasta) 4-year term;expires in December 2029.Director(Scott) 4-year term;expires in December 2029.Director(Shasta) 4-year term;expires in December 2029 Director (Scott). 4-year term;expires in December 2027.To be qualified as a candidate for the office of Director on the District Board of Directors representing the Scott Valley Watermaster Service Area, a person must be a voter holding water rights whose places of use under a decree are appointed or contracted parcels within the Scott Valley Watermaster Service Area. To be qualified as a candidate for the office of Director on the District Board of Directors representing the Shasta Valley Watermaster Service Area, a person must be a voter holding water rights whose places of use under a decree are appointed or contracted parcels within the Shasta Valley Watermaster Service Area.Declarations of candidacy may be obtained at the office of the Scott Valley and Shasta Valley Watermaster District located at 809 Fourth Street, Yreka, CA 96097, or on the District's website at https://svsvwd.specialdistrict.org beginning April 27, 2026. Completed declarations of candidacy must be filed with the District at the above address no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 22, 2026.
