CITY OF YREKA URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN  
 AND WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN

Time:           6:30 P.M. PCT, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard
Location:     Council Chambers, 701 4th Street, Yreka, CA 96097

Notice Is Hereby Given that the City of Yreka will hold a public hearing at a regular meeting of the City Council on May 19, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall, 701 4th Street, Yreka, California, to consider the 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP).

The UWMP and WSCP describe the City's current and projected water supplies, demands, and actions to prepare for and respond to water shortages, as required by California law.

The draft UWMP and WSCP will be available for public review on the City's website at https://www.ci.yreka.ca.us/191/Water and at City Hall, 701 4th Street, Yreka, California.

Pursuant to Water Code Section 10652, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) does not apply to the preparation and adoption of an UWMP and WSCP prepared pursuant to Water Code Section 10610, et seq.

Written comments may be submitted by email to jlucchesi@yrekaca.gov, by mail to City Hall, 701 4th Street, Yreka, CA 96097, or given in person at the public hearing at the above noted day and time. Written comments should be received by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing.

Accessibility: In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in a City meeting or other services offered by this City, please contact the City Clerk at (530) 841-2386; cityclerk@yrekaca.gov. Notification at least 48 hours prior to the meeting or time when services are needed will assist the City staff in assuring that reasonable arrangements can be made to provide accessibility to the meeting or service.
