Ad#12298113 5/4/2026 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CITY OF MELBOURNE, FLORIDA CLOSING DATE: June 4, 2026 at 3:00 PM PURPOSE In accordance with United States Code (U.S.C.) Title 40, Sections 1101-1104 (Federal Brooks Act), F.S. 287.055 and the Citys standard selection procedures, the City of Melbourne is soliciting Statements of Qualifications to provide the following: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES - E. NEW HAVEN AVENUE DOWNTOWN RETROFIT & STREETSCAPE PROJECT The City of Melbourne requires professional consulting engineering services for East New Haven Avenue in historical downtown Melbourne and other streets adjacent to the downtown. Design elements include roadway design to allow for the conversion of angled parking to parallel parking along E. New Haven Avenue to accommodate wider sidewalks and additional storefront width in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA); storm water collection system design, utility relocation design including laterals, fire hydrants, water services, sewer services; landscape, irrigation, hardscape designs, including decorative crosswalks, tree wells, seating benches, trash receptacles; pedestrian and roadway decorative lighting design and other ancillary design. Public outreach/involvement and permitting are also anticipated. The estimated construction cost is approximately $17.1 million. SCHEDULE The following dates and activities identify proposed project schedule milestone. Changes to this schedule by the City of Melbourne will be provided in writing on Demandstar.com.
