Request for Proposals
Notice is hereby given that the Hardee County Board of County Commissioners (County) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified firms of Certified Public Accountants to provide professional auditing services.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified firms to conduct financial and compliance audits of the County’s general-purpose financial statements and its Constitutional Officers for three (3) fiscal years ending September 30, 2026 through September 30, 2028, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, in accordance with the requirements set forth in RFP No. 26-007.

Proposals must be submitted electronically through DemandStar and received no later than 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Friday, May 8, 2026. Proposals received after this deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances. Submission by facsimile or email will not be accepted.

A public proposal opening will occur at or after 2:15 p.m. on May 8, 2026, in the Capital Projects Conference Room, located at 205 Hanchey Road, Wauchula, Florida 33873, and will also be available via Microsoft Teams as identified in the RFP.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to waive any or all non-material irregularities and technicalities to re-advertise for RFPs, with or without changes in the scope of work, to award in whole or in part to one or more Respondents or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interest of County.

QUESTIONS: Any questions or requests for clarification shall be submitted in writing to the Procurement Manager via email or fax. The subject line must reference: “RFP No. 26-007 – Auditing Services.” All questions must be received no later than April 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Responses will be issued via addendum as necessary. No verbal questions will be accepted.
