NOTICE OF RULEMAKING BY THE LAKE ASHTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT A public hearing will be conducted by the Board of Supervisors of the Lake Ashton Community Development District (the "District") on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Lake Ashton Clubhouse Ballroom, 4141 Ashton Club Drive, Lake Wales, FL 33859. Prior notice of rule development was published in a newspaper of general circulation on Monday, February 9, 2026. In accordance with Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, and in connection with its ownership and/or operation of certain improvements, including recreational amenity facilities and security improvements within the Lake Ashton neighborhood (hereinafter referred to as the "Amenities"), the District hereby gives notice of its intent to adopt fees related to gate strikes, Rule Chapter 3? Rules of the Lake Ashton Community Development District, and establish rates, fees, and charges imposed on residents and non-residents utilizing the Lake Ashton Amenities (collectively, the "Rules"). The purpose and effect of the Rules of the Lake Ashton Community Development District is to provide for efficient and effective operation of the District's Amenities and other properties by setting policies and fees relevant to implementation of the provisions of Section 190.035, Florida Statutes. General legal authority for the District to adopt the proposed Rules of the Lake Ashton Community Development District include Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, as amended, and specific legal authority includes Sections 190.035(2), 190.011(5), 190.012(3), 190.035, 190.041, 120.54, 120.69 and 120.81, Florida Statutes, as amended. The proposed Amenity Rates include: Gate Strike Fee - $975 - $2,500 A copy of the proposed Rules of the Lake Ashton Community Development District, and any material proposed to be incorporated by reference, may be obtained by contacting the District Manager, Jill Burns, at c/o Governmental Management Services ? Central Florida, LLC, 219 E. Livingston Street, Orlando, Florida 32801, by phone during regular business hours at (407) 841-5524, or by e-mail at jburns@gmscfl.com (the "District Manager's Office"). Any person who wishes to provide the District with a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative as provided by Section 120.541(1), Florida Statutes, must do so in writing within twenty-one (21) days after publication of this notice to the District Manager's Office. If anyone chooses to appeal any decision of the Board with respect to any matter considered at a public hearing, such person will need a record of the proceedings and should accordingly ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which such appeal is to be based. At the hearing, staff or Supervisors may participate in the public hearing by speaker telephone.
