NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Town of Lake Placid Town Council on the 16th day of March 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Town Hall Municipal Building, 1069 US 27 N, Lake Placid, Florida 33852, on Hearing No. LPTC.26.001. Consideration will be given to a variance to the primary faade requirements of the Commercial Architectural Standards to allow zero (0) entrances facing a public street instead of the minimum of one (1) required entrance, zero percent (0%) glazing instead of the required 30%, and a zero (0) square-foot porch instead of the required 100 square feet. The property is located on the east side of US Hwy 27 and between Tower Street and Plaza Street at 70 Plaza Avenue, Lake Placid, Florida; Property ID No. P-31-36-30-A00-0322-0000.
 
A copy of this notice is available for inspection by the public at the Town of Lake Placid Office of the Clerk, at the Town Hall Municipal Building, 1069 US 27, Lake Placid, Florida 33852, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS MAY APPEAR AND BE HEARD AT THE TIME AND PLACE SPECIFIED ABOVE. ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THIS COMMITTEE/GROUP, IN PUBLIC HEARING OR MEETING IS HEREBY ADVISED THAT HE OR SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND THAT, FOR SUCH PURPOSE, HE OR SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD WILL INCLUDE THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH SUCH APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
 
One or more members of the Lake Placid Town Council, Board of Adjustment, Local Planning Agency, Community Redevelopment Agency or Highlands County Board of County Commissioners may attend and participate in the meeting.
 
Official action may be taken by the Town Council. No action will be taken by any other board, agency, or commission. The presence of members of other boards, agencies or commissions is solely for observation or participation as permitted by law.
