Purpose and Effect: The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss and obtain public input regarding the following policy:     
Policy 5.40. Student Attendance Requirements (Policy 5.40) have been merged with District Student Attendance Provisions (Policy 5.42) and is proposed for transfer.

Any person who anticipates an appeal of the decision made by the School Board of Duval County, Florida, with respect to any matter considered at this hearing or who may decide to appeal such decision will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose of appeal may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.  This record will need to include testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
