NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA, SERVING AS THE PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA, AND THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 163.3161 through 163.3248, Florida Statutes, as amended, comments, objections and recommendations concerning the amendment, as described below, will be heard by the City Commission of the City of Chiefland, Florida, serving as the Planning Board of the City of Chiefland, Florida, and the Local Planning Agency of the City of Chiefland, Florida, at a public hearing on April 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at City Hall located at 214 East Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida. CPA 26-01S, an application by Susan Sculky, to amend the Future Land Use Plan Map of the Comprehensive Plan by changing the land use classification from COMMERCIAL to RESIDENTIAL, HIGH DENSITY (12 dwelling units per acre) for the property described, as follows: A parcel of land lying in Section 36, Township 11 South, Range 14 East, Levy County, Florida. Being more particularly described as follows: The East 450.00 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 lying South of the right-of-way of Park Avenue and the East 450.00 feet of the North 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4, Less the South 386.00 feet thereof. ALSO Less the East 25.00 feet from all above for a city street. Containing 3.35 acres, more or less. At the aforementioned public hearing, all interested parties may appear to be heard with respect to the proposed amendment. A copy of the proposed amendment is available for public inspection at the Office of the City Manager/Clerk, at the City Hall located at 214 East Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida, during regular business hours. All persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at the above referenced public hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
