NOTICE OF ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ordinance which title hereinafter appears, will be considered for enactment by the City Commission of the City of Chiefland, Florida, at a public hearing on April 27, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at City Hall located at 214 East Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida. At the aforementioned public hearing, all interested parties may appear to be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. A copy of said ordinance may be inspected by any member of the public at the Office of the City Manager/Clerk, at the City Hall located at 214 East Park Avenue, Chiefland, Florida, during regular business hours. The title of said ordinance reads, as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 26-04 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS CODE, AS AMENDED; RELATING TO THE REZONING OF LESS THAN TEN CONTIGUOUS ACRES OF LAND, PURSUANT TO AN APPLICATION, Z 26-01S, BY THE PROPERTY OWNER OF SAID ACREAGE; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS CODE; PROVIDING FOR CHANGING THE ZONING DISTRICT FROM C-1 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO R-2 RESIDENCE DISTRICT OF CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CHIEFLAND, FLORIDA; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE All persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at the above referenced public hearings, they will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
