NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON THE FY 2026 SECTION 5307 AND 5339 GRANT FUNDING OF THE CITRUS COUNTY TRANSIT SYSTEM Tuesday, March 31, 2026; 1:45 PM LOCATION CITRUS COUNTY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITRUS COUNTY COURTHOUSE 110 NORTH APOPKA AVENUE, INVERNESS, FL 34450 ALL INTERESTED PARTIES within Citrus County are hereby notified that the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is applying to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for program funds under 49 U.S.C. Section 5307 and 5339, Urbanized Area Formula Program of the Federal Transit Act, as amended. As part of this process, the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will be reviewing and approving the Fiscal Year 2026 Program of Projects (POP) for Sections 5307 and 5339 multi-year grant award funding and identifying the sources associated with operating its transit system. The public hearing is intended to give the public the opportunity to comment on the proposed POP. The BOCCs review and approval will allow for the coordination of transit system planning and operations for inclusion in the County and the States Transportation Improvement Plan and the Countys Transit Development Plan. The public is encouraged to attend.
