NOTICE TO BIDDERS INVITATION TO BID TAXIWAY A HOLDING BAY FOR THE CITY OF LAKELAND March 24, 2026 2026-ITB-028 Sealed bids will be received electronically by the Purchasing Manager via OpenGov, the Citys e-Procurement Portal (Portal) https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov, until 2:00 pm Friday, April 24, 2026. Bids received after this specified time and date will not be considered. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on the same date and time in the office of the Purchasing Manager for the following: Bid Documents may be accessed by visiting our Website at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov or by contacting the City of Lakeland Purchasing Division @ (863) 834-6780. Documents are Required for Submittal. Bidders are required to submit their response through the Portal. Bidders shall sign up on the Portal https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lakelandgov if an account does not exist. THE CITY OF LAKELAND IS SOLICITING SEALED BIDS FROM QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HOLDING BAY ALONG TAXIWAY A AT LAKELAND LINDER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THE PROJECT WILL CREATE A DESIGNATED PAVED AREA ADJACENT TO TAXIWAY A WHERE AIRCRAFT CAN TEMPORARILY POSITION TO PERFORM REQUIRED PRE-DEPARTURE SAFETY CHECKS WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING AIRCRAFT MOVEMENT ALONG THE TAXIWAY. THE IMPROVEMENTS ARE INTENDED TO ENHANCE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY, IMPROVE AIRFIELD SAFETY, AND ENSURE A CONTINUOUS FLOW OF AIRCRAFT DEPARTING RUNWAY 10/28. THE BIDS SUBMITTED SHALL BE IN COMPLETE ACCORDANCE WITH, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THIS INVITATION TO BID, THE ATTACHED PROJECT MANUAL, DRAWINGS, AND ALL CODES AND REQUIREMENTS REFERENCED THEREIN.
