Public Hearing April 27, 2026
At the Indian River County School Board Business Meeting held March 16, 2026, the School Board voted to hold a public hearing to consider adoption of the revised District School Board Policy 7250 Commemoration of School Facilities.
Purpose: The purpose of the revisions is to be consistent with Federal and State Law, the Florida Administrative Code, other regulations by Federal and State agencies, applicable court decisions, and Attorney General's opinions.

The public hearing will be held during the District School Board Business Meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the J.A. Thompson Administrative Center, 6500 57th St., Vero Beach, FL 32967 in the Teacher Education Center (TEC). The last date for submitting a written objection is April 20, 2026. A copy of the proposed changes is available for review on the District website at www.indianriverschools.org; click on the School Board. Contact number is (772) 564-3200.
Advice is hereby given that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at such hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings; and for such purpose he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which records includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
