NOTICE OF TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF TAMARAC LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE THE CITY OF TAMARAC City Commission proposes to adopt the following by Ordinance: Temp. Ordinance. No. 2609: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE BY AMENDING ARTICLE 3, USE REGULATIONS, BY AMENDING SECTION 10-3.2, ENTITLED TABLE OF ALLOWED USES SECTION (H) ENTITLED TABLE 10-3.1: ALLOWED USES TO ADD CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCES AS A USE TYPE WITHIN THE RESIDENTIAL, GROUP LIVING CATEGORY ; AND CREATING SECTION 10-3.6, ENTITLED REQUESTS FOR ACCOMMODATION, TO PROVIDE FOR A REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION PROCESS CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 397.487(15)(a), FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Public Hearing on the ordinance will be held by the City Commission on 1st Reading on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers of City Hall, located at 7525 NW 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33321. A Public Hearing on the ordinance will be held by the City Commission on 2nd Reading on Wednesday May 27, 2026, at or after 9:30 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers of City Hall, located at 7525 NW 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33321. Copies of the proposed Ordinance may be requested by emailing CityClerk@tamarac.org. Interested parties may be heard at the meeting with respect to the proposed Ordinance in accordance with Florida Statutes 166.041. Pursuant to Chapter 286.0105 Florida Statutes: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. The City of Tamarac complies with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
