NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT/REZONING The City of Wildwood proposes to adopt the following ordinances: ORDINANCE O2026-19 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WILDWOOD, FLORIDA, PROPOSING A SMALL-SCALE FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT TO THE ADOPTED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND FUTURE LAND USE MAP IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY PLANNING ACT OF 2011, AS AMENDED; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ORDINANCE O2026-20 AN ORDINANCE O F THE CITY O F W ILDWOOD, F LORIDA; P ROPOSING A Z ONING M AP AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 3.2 AND 3.3 OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The ordinances shall be heard at the City Hall Commission Chamber, 100 North Main Street, Wildwood, Florida during the regularly scheduled meetings as follows: Local Planning Agency/Planning & Zoning Board/Special Magistrate on May 5th, 2026, at 2:00 and 2:15 PM City Commission first reading on June 8th, 2026, at 9:00 AM and public hearing (adoption hearing) on June 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM O2026-19 proposes to change the Future Land Use Map designation from Agriculture (Sumter County) to Rural Residential (City) and O2026-20 proposes to change the Zoning Map designation from RR5 (Sumter County) to Rural Residential (City) on parcels K13-012 and K13-042. The proposed ordinances may be inspected by the public at the Development Services Department, Wildwood City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on weekdays. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the hearings and provide comments regarding the proposed ordinances.
