Notice of a Data Event Miami, Florida April 16, 2026 - Markowitz, Ringel, Trusty & Hartog, P.A. (MRTH) is issuing notice of an event that may involve some personal information associated with certain individuals. While we are unaware of any attempted or actual identity theft or fraud in connection with this event, we are providing individuals with information about the event, our response, and steps individuals may take to protect their information, should they feel it necessary to do so. What Happened? On or about August 8, 2025, MRTH became aware of suspicious system activity affecting our network. We immediately launched an investigation to confirm the full nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor accessed or acquired certain data on August 8, 2025. We thereafter undertook a thorough review of the data at risk to determine the information contained therein and to whom it relates for purposes of providing notice. That review recently concluded, and we are notifying individuals whose information was contained in the data. What Information Was Involved? The information involved may include a combination of the following: name, Social Security number, health insurance information, financial account information, payment card information, Drivers license number and medical information What is MRTH Doing? We take this incident and the security of individuals information seriously. Upon discovery, we notified law enforcement and promptly commenced an investigation to confirm the nature and scope of this incident. This investigation and response included confirming the security of our systems, reviewing the contents of relevant data for sensitive information, and notifying potentially impacted individuals. We are providing notice letters, including an offering of credit monitoring, to individuals for whom we have a valid mailing address. We are also working to review our existing policies and procedures to implement additional security measures. What You Can Do. We encourage you to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing your account statements and monitoring your free credit reports for suspicious activity and to detect errors.
