NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO 
ADOPT ORDINANCE


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Polk County, Florida (the &quot;Board&quot;) will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard in the Boardroom of the County Administration Building, located at 330 West Church Street, Bartow, Florida, to consider adopting an ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance No. 2021-006, the Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption for Agro-Iron, LLC. The title and substance of the proposed ordinance that will be considered by the Board is:


An ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance 2021-006, the Economic Development Ad Valorem Tax Exemption for Agro-Iron, LLC; amending the definition of Exemption Period; amending the effective date of the Ordinance; increasing the average annual wage to be paid in order to qualify for the Agro-Iron Tax Exemption each year of the Exemption Period; providing for severability; and providing an effective date.


The proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the Office of the Clerk and Auditor to the Board, located in the County Administration Building on the 3rd floor, during normal business hours. All persons wishing to speak upon the adoption of this ordinance are invited to attend the public hearing and they shall be heard.
