THE CITY OF COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 166 Florida Statutes that the City Commission for the City of Cocoa Beach has scheduled a PUBLIC HEARING for the adoption of the following Ordinances into Law on June 4th, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. These Ordinances were scheduled for First Reading on May 7, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The Public Hearings will be held at the Cocoa Beach City Hall, 2 South Orlando Ave., Cocoa Beach, Florida.
A copy of this proposed Ordinance is on file in the office of the City Clerk and may be viewed during regular working hours. A copy of the Ordinances is linked for Public Inspection, on the City's website at www.cityofcocoabeach.com (attached to the meeting agendas) and this notice is posted on the Municipal Building Bulletin Board.
This is a Public Meeting. Interested parties may appear at said Public Hearing and be heard with respect to the adoption of this proposed Ordinance. Any interested party seeking any decision made by the City Commission, with respect to any matter considered at this Public Hearing, will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ARTICLE IV, IN GENERAL, OF CHAPTER 5, BEACHES, FILLS AND PUBLIC WATERWAYS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COCOA BEACH; AMENDING SECTION 5-50 (DEFINITIONS) TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES; AMENDING SECTION 5-52, RETITLING AND REVISING SAID SECTION TO ADDRESS AUTHORIZED BEACH SIGNAGE AND RESCUE DEVICES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
