Town of Inglis Second Public Hearing Notice The Town of Inglis plans to apply to the Florida Department of Commerce for a $3,000,000 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the Housing Rehabilitation category. The proposed activities, dollar amounts, and estimated percentage of benefit to low- and moderate-income persons are as follows: Activity Name CDBG Funding LMI Benefit Administration $300,000 N/A Housing Rehabilitation $2,550,000 100% Temporary Relocation $150,000 100% The Town plans to rehabilitate, reconstruct, or demolish and replace eligible owner-occupied homes occupied by very low-, low-, and moderate-income households within the Town limits that do not meet current housing quality standards, are structurally deficient, or were impacted by severe weather events. The Town will accept applications for housing assistance from qualified homeowners if grant funding is awarded. The Town of Inglis does not expect that anyone will be permanently displaced as a result of these CDBG-funded activities. If any persons are displaced as a result of the planned activities, the Town will assist them in accordance with its anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at Town Hall. A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be held at Inglis Town Hall, 135 Highway 40 West, Inglis, Florida, on May 4, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. A draft copy of the application will be available for review during normal business hours at Town Hall. Persons wishing to submit written comments on the application should send them to the Town Clerk by mail or email townclerk@townofinglis.org . A copy of the final application will be available for review at Town Hall prior to submission. The application will be submitted to the Florida Department of Commerce on or before May 5, 2026. To obtain additional information concerning the application or the public hearing, please contact the Town Clerk at (352) 447-2203. The public hearing is being conducted in a handicapped accessible location. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in the hearing is asked to advise the Town at least five (5) days prior to the hearing.
