PUBLIC NOTICE The Citrus County School Board will hold an Administrative Hearing, Special Meeting, and Workshop; 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the Board Room of the District Services Center located at 1007 West Main Street, Inverness, Florida. The purpose of the Administrative Hearing is to act upon proposed student expulsion(s). The Special Meeting is to discuss and act upon other business that needs to come before the Board. The Workshop topics are; Review of survey results from the CCSB Health Insurance Committee on Florida Educators Health Trust (FLEHT) services, Policy 6.30 (Update) Violation of Local, State, and/or Federal Laws, Policy 2.29 (Repeal) Citrus County School Board Police Department, Policy 3.40 (Update) Safe and Secure Schools, Policy 3.403 (Repeal) Safe and Secure Schools School Guardian and Policy 3.403 (Rewrite) Safe and Secure Schools Chris Hixon, Coach Aaron Feis, and Coach Scott Beigel Guardian Program, Policy 3.49 (Update) Citrus County School Board Owned Canine (Dog), and to discuss Tentative Capital Projects and Growth Management Strategy for 2025-26 and 2026-27, and to review proposed updates to the 2026-2027 Code of Student Conduct. If any person decides to appeal a decision made by the Board, with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, he may need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record should include testimony and evidence upon which his appeal is to be based.
