AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LAKE CLARKE SHORES, FLORIDA, SUBSTANTIALLY AMENDING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE OUTDATED AND UNNECESSARY PROVISIONS AND TO OTHERWISE CLARIFY PROVISIONS OF THE CHARTER; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-03
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LAKE CLARKE SHORES, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 46 SOLID WASTE, ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL, SECTION 46-13 BULK AND VEGETATIVE WASTE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF LAKE CLARKE SHORES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THAT VEGETATIVE WASTE AND YARD TRASH SHALL BE PLACED FOR COLLECTION NOT EARLIER THAN 72 HOURS PRIOR TO COLLECTION; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
The second reading of Ordinance 2026-02 and Ordinance 2026-03 has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 6:30 P.M., or as soon thereafter as this matter may be heard, during the Town Council Meeting. Members of the public may attend the meeting in the Council Chambers or virtually. The public is invited to be heard before the Town Council. The Ordinances will also be posted on the Town Hall bulletin board.

Persons wishing to comment during the meeting must attend via Zoom by clicking on the following link: https://zoom.us/j/97358607390 . You will need to download the Zoom application if joining from a cellphone or tablet.
Public comments will be made as follows:
If you attend in-person, you may comment during the public comment portions of the meeting.
If you attend via Zoom, you may comment during the public comment portions of the meeting by raising your hand or writing it in the Q&A section. Please ensure you state or write your full name and address.
If you are unable to attend, you may submit a comment by email with your full name and address no later than 3 hours preceding the meeting to: epearson@lakeclarke.org. If timely received, the comment will be read during the public comment portion of the meeting.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at such meeting, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. (F.S. 286.0105).
Pursuant to the provision of the Americans with Disability Act; any person requiring special accommodations to participate in the meeting, because of a disability or physical impairment, should contact the Town Clerk at least two (2) calendar days prior to the hearing.
