NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCES
NOTICE is hereby given that the Naples City Council will consider enactment of the following Ordinances upon Second Reading at the Regular City Council meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be practicable, in the City Council Chamber, 735 Eighth Street South, Naples, Florida:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I, IN GENERAL, OF CHAPTER 36, TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF NAPLES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS AND PROVIDING FOR REGULATIONS RELATING TO ELECTRIC BICYCLES; AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CORRECTION OF SCRIVENERS ERRORS, CONSTRUCTION, PUBLICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2 TITLED COUNCIL, SECTION 2.5(1) OF THE CITY CHARTER PERTAINING TO THE "SALARY" OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS OF THE CITY OF NAPLES TO ADJUST THE SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPLES; PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM ON THE QUESTION OF APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH; PROVIDING FOR FILING THE REVISED CHARTER AS AMENDED WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF STATE; PROVIDING FOR COORDINATION WITH THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY; CORRECTION OF SCRIVENERS ERROR; CONSTRUCTION; PUBLICATION; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2 TITLED COUNCIL, SECTION 2.5(1) and 2.5(2) OF THE CITY CHARTER PERTAINING TO THE "SALARY" OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS OF THE CITY OF NAPLES TO GIVE THE POWER TO ADJUST THE SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL TO THE BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF NAPLES; PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM ON THE QUESTION OF APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH; PROVIDING FOR FILING THE REVISED CHARTER AS AMENDED WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF STATE; PROVIDING FOR COORDINATION WITH THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY, CORRECTION OF SCRIVENERS ERROR; CONSTRUCTION; PUBLICATION; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Said proposed Ordinances may be inspected by the public at the office of the City Clerk, Room B, City Hall, 735 Eighth Street South, Naples, Florida.
All people are invited to appear and be heard with respect to said proposed ordinances. Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at the above hearing will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be heard. Any person with a disability requiring auxiliary aids and services for this meeting may call the City Clerks Office at 213-1015 with requests at least two business days before the meeting date. One or more other elected or appointed officials may be in attendance at this meeting. This meeting will be broadcast in real time on Comcast Channel 98, Century Link Channel 98, Summit Broadband Channel 95 and in real time on the City's Naples-TV website, via live streaming and the Cablecast app. All meetings are recorded and archived.
