NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE GILCHRIST COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Gilchrist County, Florida, serving as the Planning Commission, will consider at a public hearing the below described application in the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners Meeting Facility located at 210 South Main Street, Trenton, Florida on May 4, 2026 at 4:45 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the following: SUP-SP 2025-02 A request by Gmuer Engineering, LLC, as agent for Paul Schmelz, property owner, for a Special Use Permit proposing a 1,800 square foot retail/office building, a 1,350 square foot maintenance building, and four (4) unenclosed canopies for storage of boats and recreational vehicles (RVs), with a total of 102 designated storage stalls, with associated site improvements on a 5.01 acre subject property, located southwest of the intersection of State Road 47 and NE County Road 138; Tax Parcel Number 30-07-16-0239-0000-0050; Zoning: Agriculture 2 (A-2). At the aforementioned public hearing, all interested parties may appear to be heard with respect to the application. Copies of the application are available for public inspection at the Office of the County Clerk, Gilchrist County Courthouse, located at 112 South Main Street, Trenton, Florida. The public hearing may be continued to one or more future dates. Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time, and place of any continuation of the public hearing shall be announced during the public hearing and that no future notice concerning the matter will be published, unless said continuation exceeds six calendar weeks from the date of the above referenced public hearing. All persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at the above referenced public hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
