CITY OF FORT PIERCE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce, Florida, pursuant to Florida Statute 166.041, will hold Public Hearings, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 and Monday, March 2, 2026 at their meetings which begin at 5:05 p.m., on first and second readings, respectively in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 100 North U.S. #1, Fort Pierce, Florida, to consider review and approval of the following: ORDINANCE NO. 26-003 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 2 - ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE V ? FINANCE, TO CREATE SECTION 2-427 - CITY AUDITING SERVICES TO REQUIRE AN ANNUAL AUDIT AND ESTABLISH HOW AN AUDITOR IS SELECTED, CONTRACTING REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AUDITOR, AND LIMITATIONS ON THE NUMBER OF YEARS AN AUDITOR MAY PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the Ordinance; said Ordinance will be available for inspection in the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 100 North U.S. #1, Fort Pierce, Florida or on the city's website at www.cityoffortpierce.com. ANY PERSON SEEKING TO APPEAL THE DECISION OF THE CITY COMMISSION AS TO THE FOREGOING IS ADVISED THAT A RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS IS REQUIRED IN ANY SUCH APPEAL AND THAT SUCH PERSON MAY NEED TO INSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS IS MADE INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
