NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-2346
A public hearing will be held on the above titled ordinance at 6:00 pm or as soon as may be heard thereafter on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, Florida, 34652. The City Council will consider this ordinances adoption into law upon its second and final reading on February 17, 2026. The ordinance in its entirety may be inspected at the City Clerks Office, Second Floor, City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, during regular working hours.  All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to this proposed ordinance, being particularly described as below.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEW PORT RICHEY AMENDING CHAPTER 17, PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT, ARTICLE III, FIREFIGHTERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEW PORT RICHEY; AMENDING SECTION 17-36, DEFINTIONS; AMENDING SECTION 17-36.1, PLAN FREEZE, NEW BENEFIT STRUCTURE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF PROVISION; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
