"PUBLIC NOTICE The City of Social Circle Planning and Corridor Commission will hold a Public Hearing on March 24, 2026, at 6:00pm at the Social Circle Community Room, 138 E Hightower Trail, for the following items: 1. Scott Greene, on behalf of Thomas & Hutton Engineering, is requesting the annexation of 1402 Roy Malcom Road, also known as Tax Parcel C1480001, into the City of Social Circle as part of a proposed Data Center development, under Light Industrial (LI) zoning. Application is being made under the provisions of the Official Code of Georgia Section 36-36-20 ET SEQ, and is made, by Ordinance, to be included in the Corporate Limits of said municipality and made a part thereof. 2. Scott Greene, on behalf of Thomas & Hutton Engineering, is requesting a Future Land Use Map Amendment to designate 1402 Roy Malcom Road, also known as Tax Parcel C1480001, as an Industrial character area on the City of Social Circle's Future Land Use Map as part of the requested annexation of the aforementioned property. 3. Scott Greene, on behalf of Thomas & Hutton Engineering, is requesting a Rezone of 1402 Roy Malcom Road, also known as Tax Parcel C1480001, from Rural Estate with Watershed Protection Overlay (A1 WP2), as currently zoned by Walton County, to Light Industrial (LI), for the purpose of developing a Data Center. 4. Scott Greene, on behalf of Thomas & Hutton Engineering, is requesting a Special Use to allow a Data Center under Light Industrial (LI) zoning, at 1402 Roy Malcom Road, also known as Tax Parcel C1480001. The City of Social Circle Mayor & Council will hold a Public Hearing on April 21, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the Social Circle Community Room, 138 E Hightower Trail. Applications & specific description of properties are available for viewing at the Social Circle Community Development Department, 166 N Cherokee Rd, daily 8:30am – 4:30pm, M-F, 770-464-2380 or online at www.socialcirclega.gov.
