This notice is required by Indiana Code (IC) 31-19-2.5-3(a)(3). You are receiving this notice because you may be a grandparent of the Child. As a grandparent, you may have the right to file a petition in court to establish or protect grandparent visitation rights. However, IC 31-17-5-3(b) provides that such a petition must be filed prior to the date a decree of adoption is entered. It is for that reason that you are receiving this notice.
