Location: 1122 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30901 Project Description: The Augusta Technical College Foundation, Inc. plans to convert the former Johnson Cadillac dealership into a cutting-edge automotive workforce training facility. This project will include site improvements and the construction of a 4,800 square foot addition to enhance the heavy diesel program. The renovations will involve replacing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and roofing systems, along with a comprehensive interior overhaul. This will consist of new masonry walls, interior partitions, finishes, flooring, and updated storefront glazing. The aim of this project is to expand Augusta Technical College's automotive training center to prepare the next generation of workers. It is designed to support dealership operations, fleet maintenance, and emerging vehicle technologies, while providing hands-on, industry-aligned instruction that meets both regional and national labor market demands. Environmental Review: In accordance with NEPA, an environmental review has been conducted to evaluate potential impacts on wetlands, endangered species, water resources, air quality, and hazardous and toxic substances.
