1. Sealed proposals will be received in the office of the Village Clerk of Dieterich, Illinois at 103 W. Section Street, Dieterich, IL 62424 until 10:00 AM on June 1, 2026 for the furnishing or delivering & installing materials in the construction/maintenance of the above Section.
2. Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the Dieterich Village Clerk at 103 W. Section Street, Dieterich, IL 62424. Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the Local Public Agency and shall be enclosed in an envelope endorsed “Materials Proposal, Section 26-00000-00-GM”.
3. The Local Public Agency reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any and all proposals.
4. Compliance with Prevailing Wage: This project calls for the construction of a “public work,” within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers, and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current “prevailing rate of wages” (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. The Illinois Department of Labor (hereinafter referred to as the “Department”) publishes the prevailing wage rates on its website at http://labor.illinois.gov. The Department revises the prevailing wage rates and the contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department's web site for revisions to the prevailing wage rates. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Department's website. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this agreement, or for this project, shall, in all respects, comply with all the requirements of the Act including, but not limited to, all wage requirements and notice and record keeping duties.
