PUBLIC NOTICE
Public Notice is hereby given for Public Hearings to be held on Thursday, June 4th , 2026 at 7:00 P.M. before the Blue Island Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals at the City Hall East Annex, 2434 Vermont Street, Blue Island, Illinois 60406. The Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals will review the requests by the following applicants:
1. Applicant: Omaro Escobedo
Property: 12742 S. Lincoln St.

Nature of Request: The Applicant has submitted a special use application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to allow for a “Two-Family Dwelling” in the Single-Family (R-1) District.
2. Applicant: Pantheon Royale,

Nature of Request: The Applicant has submitted a special use application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to allow for a “Banquet Hall” in the Uptown Transit Oriented Development (UTOD) District. The Applicant has also submitted a variance application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance requesting relief from the off-street parking requirements where 20 spaces would normally be required.

Nature of Request: The Applicant has submitted a special use application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to allow for a “Banquet Hall” in the Single-Family (R-1) District.

Nature of Request: The Applicant has submitted a special use application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance to allow for a “Food Store” in the Single-Family (R-1) District. The Applicant has also submitted a variance application under the Blue Island Zoning Ordinance requesting relief from the off-street parking requirements where 4 spaces would normally be required.
The Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals will review and discuss the above applications. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.
