PUBLIC NOTICE
Public
notice is hereby given to all persons in the County of LaSalle,
State of Illinois, that a public hearing will be held, by the
LaSalle County Zoning Board of Appeals, on May 20, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
at the LaSalle County Governmental Complex, 707 E. Etna Road, Room
250, Ottawa, Illinois. The owner/applicant, Joseph Freitag, is
requesting a Special Use to allow a home occupation in an accessory
building at the property, located in the A-1 Agriculture Zoning
District, and legally described as follows:
That
part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 33,
Township 31 North, Range 1 East of the Third Principal Meridian
described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the
Northeast Quarter of said Section 33; thence North 00 degrees 21
minutes 42 seconds West 802.58 feet on the East line of the
Northeast Quarter of said Section 33 to the Point of Beginning;
thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West 302.74 feet to a
point; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East 433.62
feet to a point; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East
300 feet to a point on the East line of the Northeast Quarter of
said Section 33; thence South 00 degrees 21 minutes 42 seconds East
on the East line of the Northeast Quarter to the Point of Beginning,
containing 3.001 acres, more or less, and all being situated in the
Township of Hope, LaSalle County, Illinois. PIN:30-33-209-000
Currently,
the property is zoned Agriculture (A-1) and is commonly known as
1271 E 3rd Rd, Lostant, IL.
The
special use petition (26-12 SU) submitted by Joseph Freitag is on
file at the LaSalle County Land Use Department located at 119 West
Madison Street, Room 107, Ottawa, Illinois (Phone 815-434-8666).
