PUBLIC NOTICE Duane & Lynne Sell are the owners of an approximately 4.92-acre property located at 27872 Moose Range Road, in Sycamore Township. They are requesting permission to allow their tenants, Brian & Kathi Sell, to establish and operate a year-round youth theater on the subject property. The subject property is zoned A-1, Agricultural District; and such a use is a Special Use in that district, approval for which must be granted by the DeKalb County Board. Before a Special Use Permit can be approved by the DeKalb County Board, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer. Brian & Kathi Sell are requesting approval of a Special Use Permit Ordinance for the establishment and operation of an event venue. A public hearing will be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 3:00 pm, in the DeKalb County Legislative Center, Gathertorium, 200 North Main Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. Because this will be the only opportunity for public input on this application, all interested persons are encouraged to attend the meeting and be heard.
