ORDER Docket No: 26-08 In re:Application to Construct a new Restricted Landing Area (RLA) known as Wenona RLA near Wenona, LaSalle County, Illinois On 05/28/2025, Charles Holzworth Trust filed an Application for Approval of a Restricted Landing Area (RLA) in the name of Wenona RLA, owned and operated by Charles Holzwarth Trust. The facility will be located in the South ½ of the North ½ of the Southeast ¼ of the South ½ of the Northeast ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 28, Township 30, Range 2 of the Third Meridian Principle in LaSalle County, Illinois. On or about 03/12/2026, the Division served Notice of its intention to enter an Order approving said application, pursuant to Section 60 (620 ILCS 5/60) of the Illinois Aeronautics Act. No comments have been received by the Division on this matter. IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED BY THE DIVISON OF AERONAUTICS AS FOLLOWS: 1. No operations from said RLA are authorized by this Order until the Certificate of Approval has been issued hereunder. 2. Unless the Division grants an extension of time for completion, this Order shall become null and void unless construction is satisfactorily completed within 18 months from the effective date hereof. If all requirements of the Division are met upon completion and final inspection, a Certificate of Approval for said RLA shall be issued to C and L Holzwarth Trust. Applicant shall notify the Division within 30 days after the completion of construction. 3. Said RLA shall conform to all requirements (including written notice of abandonment) of this Division. 4. Unless the Department finds that a hearing is necessary or that a longer period is appropriate, this Order shall take effect twenty (20) days after the service date thereof. 5. This Order and Certificate of Approval create no private interest in the applicant or its successors. The Division expressly reserves the authority to revoke or modify said Certificate when in the public interest to do so. 6. This Order and any Certificate of Approval issued pursuant thereto do not pre-empt, waive, suspend or modify any zoning regulations, building code requirements, or local ordinance adopted by local governmental bodies. 7. The Certificate of Approval must be modified or reissued if any alteration or extension is made to the RLA.
