PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORSMay 4, 2026 The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present: Chairman Casey Callanan, Vice Chairman Carl Ginapp, Supervisor Chris Watts, and various members of the public. Chairman Callanan convened the meeting at 10:02 a.m. Ginapp moved with Watts seconding, to approve today's agenda and the minutes for the April 27, 2026 regular session. Motion passed unanimously. Public comment session was held. Watts moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously. Ginapp moved with Watt seconding, to adopt Resolution 2026-25, WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under authority of the Iowa Code Sections 321.255 and 321.285, to determine upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation, that the speed limit of any secondary road is greater than is reasonable and proper under the conditions existing, and may determine and declare a reasonable and proper speed limit; and WHEREAS, such an investigation has been requested by Concerned Citizens and has been completed by the Cerro Gordo County Engineer. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County that the speed limit be established as 35 mph in both directions on the described roads and appropriate signs be erected at the locations described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of 315 th street and Vine (S62) West until the intersection of 315 th and Ulmus and North on Ulmus to the intersection of Ulmus and 320 th street. Watts moved with Ginapp seconding, to approve reports from the Environmental Health Service Manager concerning manure management plan update for Christiansen Farms LLC – F-046 (site #59541) and forward to the DNR.
