Seal of Biliteracy PresentationMorgan Mohr and Kathleen Schippers presented students with their seal of biliteracy. 1- Muscatine High School students earned the seal of biliteracy in Chinese.2 - Muscatine High School students earned the seal of biliteracy in French. 2 - Muscatine High School students earned the seal of biliteracy in German. 23-Muscatine High School students earned the seal of biliteracy in Spanish.B. Muscatine Schools will utilize resources effectively and equitably1. Al Presentation by Joelle McConnaha and Scott Comstock.Directors Joelle McConnaha, Scott Comstock, and Jaime Kroeger along with Pam Joslin, Aaron Mauer, and Korine Schlawin, presented the progress and expectations of the use of Al in the classroom.The primary goal is to ensure that Al is used as a resource to enhance learning while maintaining academic integrity.C. Students will learn in a positive and supportive environment1. Math Adoption Update Presentation by Mulberry, Grant, and Jefferson faculty. Joelle McConnaha and Laney Berry updated the board on the process of the K-5 math adoption.Guest presenters are Kallie Poor, Dawn Henkel, and Amy Justus from Mulberry. Hannah Aguilar, Mekenzey Manley, and Leslie Bennett from Grant. Lynn Hines, Laura McDonald from Jefferson.Presenters shared feedback gathered directly from students and staff. Feedback was categorized by grade level to ensure the curriculum met the specific developmental needs of all elementary students.The selection committee reviewed the strengths and preferences expressed by faculty and students for both the iReady and Reveal platforms.Following the selection committee discussions, the team selected iReady as the preferred math curriculum.VIII. Superintendent Christopher thank the board for their dedication to the district, and they were each presented with an appreciation certificate.IX. Due to the vendor's proven reliability, exceptional customer support, and the minimal technical issues experienced to date, the District is moving forward with a three-year contract extension.
