BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY APRIL 27, 2026
5:00 P.M. HIGHLAND BOARD ROOM
The meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by President Nate Robinson.
Roll call was taken with Joslin Schott, Aaron Friederich, Karen Fink, Cody Thompson, Jarrod Longbine, Dan Ruth and Nate Robinson present. Also in attendance were Autumn Moyer, Board Secretary, and Spencer Lueders, Superintendent.
Schott moved to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by Thompson.
Motion carried 7-0
Ruth motioned to approve the following personnel appointments. Seconded by Friederich Motion carried 7-0
Appointments:
Mark Janicek- Assistant High School Football Coach 10%
Suzanne Werner- Football Cheer Sponsor 3.5%
Elexa Buysse- Daycare Lead Teacher $14.50
Chase Hickenbottom- Daycare Lead Teacher $13.50
Ruth made a motion to approve the Highland baseball popcorn fundraiser. Seconded by Thompson.
Motion carried 6-0
Longbine abstained
Schott made a motion to approve the 2026-2027 Certified Staff contracts. Seconded by Friederich.
Motion carried 5-0
Fink and Longbine abstained
Ruth made a motion to approve the 2026 seniors for graduation on May 17, 2026, pending completion of all graduation requirements. Seconded by Fink.
Motion carried 7-0
Ruth made a motion to schedule a public hearing for the 2025-2026 Budget Amendment on May 11, 2026 at 5:00 pm in the High School Board Room. Seconded by Thompson.
Motion carried 7-0
The next public hearing and regular board meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026 at 5:00 pm in the high school board room.
Schott made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Fink.
Motion carried 7-0
The special meeting was adjourned at 5:09 p.m.
