The regular Hills City Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Kemp at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Hills Fire Station. 
Present: Council Members: Henderson, Hudachek, Knebel, Rummelhart and Willette. Absent: None. Also present: Kemp, Mayor; Sedlacek, City Admin; Frembgen-Kesner, Deputy Clerk; and Matt Pantel, Maintenance/Fire Chief. 
Kemp read the proclamation for Older Americans Month 2026
Consent Agenda: Rummelhart motioned to approve consent agenda (minutes from April 27th and May 1st, scheduled list of claims, receipts from April 24-May 7, budget report and treasurer's report) and Willette seconded. Ayes: 5. Motion carried. 
Public Comment: B. Anderson mentioned the purchase of the school land and was asking council again if they would consider a storm shelter in the plans or if it could be a possibility.
