Monday, April 27th, 2026 6:30 PM
Board president Evans called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Roll Call: Pat Evans Present, Andy Crawford Present, Marc Smiarowski Present, Melanie Arnold Present. Superintendent Valentine, Board Secretary Davis, and Principal Stripe were also present.
There was a motion by Crawford to amend the agenda to add approval of the voter canvas. Second by Arnold, motion carried.
Motion by Smiarowski, second by Arnold to approve the voter canvas. Motion carried.
Swearing in of new Board Member
Do you, Andrew Bexten, solemnly swear that you will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the state of Iowa, and that you will faithfully and impartially to the best of your ability discharge the duties of the office of Mormon Trail School Board Member in the Mormon Trail Community School District as now and hereafter required by law?
Action items:
There was a motion by Arnold and a second by Crawford to table the approval of the School Master Calendar. Motion carried.
Valentine presented a new Tuition Reimbursement Agreement. There was a motion by Smiarowski and a second by Crawford to adopt the new reimbursement agreement. Motion carried.
Motion by Crawford and second by Arnold to approve the Part Time Guidance Counselor Tuition Reimbursement agreement for Amber Keith. Motion carried.
Motion by Arnold, second by Smiarowski to approve the addition of a special education teacher. Motion carried.
