Special Meetingof the Board of Education of theNorth Tama County Community School DistrictThe Board of Directors of the Community School District of North Tama County met on May 5, 2026, for a special open meeting at the North Tama County CSD Junior High Commons, Traer, Iowa at 7:00 A.M. The meeting was called to order by President Calderwood.On roll call the following board members were present: Calderwood, Sniffin, Dostal, Wilson and Seda. Dvorak and Staker were absent. Quorum Present. Also present were: Superintendent Cain, Board Secretary Forrester, Principal Brown and Principal Howard.Seda made the motion to approve the agenda as presented. Sniffin seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.Superintendent Cain led discussion on the topic of salary and wages for all classes of employees.Sniffin made the motion to approve the negotiated master contract, teacher salaries and contracts for the 2026-2027 school year as presented. Wilson seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.Sniffin made the motion to approve the salary and wages for non-certified, administrator and activity sponsor/coach salaries and contracts for the 2026-2027 school year as presented. Dostal seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.Sniffin made the motion to set a public hearing for amendments to the 2026-2027 school calendar for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. Seda seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.Sniffin made the motion at 7:54 A.M. to adjourn the meeting. Seda seconded the motion.
