DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTIONWETLANDS PROGRAM401 Water Quality Certification Application Public NoticePursuant to 33.U.S.C.1341 and MGL c21 §43, notice is hereby given of a 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC) application for the Fearing Hill Road (Bridge No. W-06-006) bridge replacement project within the Fearing Hill Road Right-of-Way in Wareham by the Town of Wareham, 54 Marion Road Wareham, MA 02571. The purpose of the project is to replace the Fearing Hill Road Bridge No. W-06-006 with a functionally upgraded structure in its current location to provide a long-term solution to severe structural deficiencies observed at the structure, as well as to increase the safety of motorists and pedestrians. The proposed replacement bridge will meet the Massachusetts Stream Crossing Standards and implement streambed restoration to improve Rainbow Smelt spawning habitat at the site.
