Upon motion from Wohlenhaus, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried to continue flying the old MN flag and not replacing it with the new version. Hiring of City AssessorUpon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Wohlenhaus, motion carried unanimously to approve the contract with the Traverse County Assessors Office. Resignation of Theresa AndersonUpon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Hansen, motion carried unanimously to accept the resignation of Theresa Anderson as library aide. Darin Fellbaum/MooreEngineering- Project UpdatesUpon motion from Hansen, seconded by Rikimoto, unanimously carried to approve the agreement for professional services with Moore Engineering for the active transportation project. Darin stated he had a few requests for some changes to residents' properties for the LRIP project. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Hansen, motion passed unanimously to allow 308 12th St N to widen the driveway 6 feet to the south.Upon motion from Wohlenhaus, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried unanimously to accept the bid from Joe Riley construction to proceed with paving projects 1-11 in the amount of $721,843.34.Traverse County Ag Assn- Donation Request& Temp Liq LicenseUpon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Hansen, motion carried unanimously to donate $2,000.00 to Traverse County Ag Assn for the 2026 Fair. Relief- Temp. Liq. LicenseUpon motion form Rikimoto, seconded by Wohlenhaus, motion carried unanimously to approve the Liquor license for Duck Days on June 6th, 2026.Application for Water and/or Sewer ConnectionUpon motion form Hansen, seconded by Rikimoto, aye from Lundquist, nay from Wohlenhaus, motion carried to approve the application for 207 1st Ave N. Land Use PermitsUpon motion from Wohlenhaus, seconded by Hansen, motion carried unanimously to approve the fence at 407 11th St N. Upon motion from Hansen, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried to approve the permit to demo three buildings at 806 1st Ave S. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Wohlenhaus, motion carried unanimously to approve the house project portion of the application for replacement of sidewalk, steps and deck at 11 3rd St N and to table the 20x30 addition until a sewer/water application has been completed and received. Administration & Public Works UpdatesUpon motion from Hansen, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried unanimously to approve Resolution 2026-11 Amendment to Resolution 2026-2 which includes changing the square footage permit requirements from 120-750 square feet to state any building up to 750 square feet requires a permit for $25.00 and to remove the fee for special vehicles. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Wohlenhaus, motion carried unanimously to approve the submittal of a pickleball court grant application completed by Councilman Hansen.Upon motion from Wohlenhaus, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried to hire Allen Anderson as a part-time public works employee. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Hansen, motion carried unanimously to approve hiring Keisha Shay as pool manager and to start her at $17.98 per hour.Upon motion from Wohlenhaus, seconded by Rikimoto, motion passed unanimously to do background checks on employees older than 18 years of age. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Hansen, motion carried to have the county paint the walking path lines the width of the stencil on 16th street. Upon motion from Rikimoto, seconded by Wohlenhaus, motion carried unanimously to accept the quote from Whaley Excavating to demo the house at 1501 3rd Ave N in the amount of $4,800.00.Upon motion from Hansen, seconded by Rikimoto, motion carried unanimously to approve the liability coverage waiver form with the League of MN Cities.
