NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGCOUNTY OF ATLANTICSTATE OF NEW JERSEY
SALE OF MEADOWVIEW NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the County of Atlantic in the State of New Jersey, will conduct two public hearings pursuant to the requirements of the New Jersey Local Lands and Buildings Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12-1 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 40A:12-13.5 to explain the proposed sale and transfer of ownership of real property and facilities known as the Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a county‑owned long‑term care facility located at 235 Dolphin Avenue, Northfield, New Jersey and designated on the Northfield Tax Map as Block 150, Lot 1 (to be subdivided into proposed Lot 1.01). The minimum consideration in the auction to be conducted after the public hearings are held is $23,500,000.
The County has scheduled two public hearings concerning the above sale on the dates and at the locations identified as follows:
First Hearing:
Date: June 8, 2026Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: Stillwater Building, Board of Commissioners Meeting Room201 Shore Road, Northfield, New Jersey
Second Hearing:
Date: June 24, 2026Time: 4:00 p.m.
Location: Atlantic County Institute of Technology, Performing Arts Center, 5080 AtlanticAvenue, Mays Landing, New JerseyOn such respective dates, times and places, all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed sale of the Property.
The proposed transaction involves the sale of the subdivided portion of the real property located at Block 150, Lot 1 (to be designated as Block 150, Lot 1.01, or such other lot designation as may be required), licenses, and operating assets of the nursing home to a private operator, all as set forth in a Report for Sale of County Property and subject to certain requirements set forth in the bid package, all of which are available to the public by contacting special counsel for Atlantic County at the email address provided below and on the Atlantic County website: www.atlanticcountynj.gov/MeadowviewAuction .
The Report for Sale of County Property will also be available for public inspection at the public hearings. The meetings will conclude after the public comment period is ended.
Written comments may be submitted on or before the date of the public hearing to special counsel at the address provided below or via email to meadowview@ndglegal.com and must be received by special counsel no later than 12:00 noon on the date of the hearing. Written comments should not exceed five (5) double spaced pages.
